Bonsai!
Went to the Bonsai show today. Very cool displays, and had a good time learning from the some of the club members. One of the trees there is probably 800 years old!
50th Anniversary!
The 50th Anniversary was great! Music, food, tram rides, tours, and of course, the Garden itself. It seemed Nature herself knew, and put on a spectacular display.
I'll try and get some pictures online soon. Keep an eye on the calendar too, for some very special events
Don't Miss the 50th Anniversary Celebration!
Don't miss the 50th Anniversary Celebration at the Garden! Saturday, April 17, 2010 from 9am to 5pm. The Spring Plant sale will also be happening that day! Bring the family, free admission! Photo courtesy Laurel Woodley
Spring is in the Air!
The weather is warming; the days have been just beautiful! The air is balmy and the sun is warm. You can really tell in the garden that things are popping. Flowers are blooming, birds are chirping, bees are busy collecting nectar and doing their pollination thing. If you haven't been for a visit in a while, time to do so now!

Coral Tree Removed
A 40ft Erythrirna caffra, Kaffirboom Coral Tree, was removed from the Children's Garden. A fungal virus attacked this tree and it was dying. We are sad to see this massive tree go.
