Mon, 11/5 9:00am - 11:00am Mondays September 17, October 1, 22, November 5, 26 ***Location: Columbia Park Community Garden Presentation Area, 4045 W. 190th Street, Torrance $10 per class members / $15 per class non-members Instructor: Judith Gerber (judith.gerber@tmmc.com) We are pleased to offer this exclusive opportunity through a program at the new Torrance Memorial Learning Garden. Participants can learn how to grow an edible garden and actually work in a garden plot. This year-round program features formal classes/lectures, work days, and much more. In addition to these more formal classes, there are ongoing “work” days that include hands-on instruction in topics such as plant selection, soil preparation, fertilizing, natural pest control, irrigation, general garden maintenance, and harvesting/deadheading. Class is limited to 6 participants.
