  • Family Picnic Day: Cherry Blossoms

    Enjoy Cherry Blossom season at the garden.  Cherry Blossoms are an omen of good fortune and also an emblem of love, affection, and represents spring.  Enjoy nature and celebrate the beauty of the cherry blossoms!

    Bring a picnic!  The upper and lower meadows will be open for picnicking Saturday, March 3.  Tram tours will run at 11:00 am, 1:00 pm  and costs $4 per person.

    With the danger of frost gone, the sun is warming the soil and it’s time to get planting!  Many trees and shrubs will be in bloom at the garden, so bring the family and enjoy nature’s beauty!

    Bring a picnic!  The upper and lower meadows will be open for picnicking. Tram tours will run at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm and costs $4 per person.  Picnics are not provided, but feel free to bring a picnic and enjoy one of the rare days that you can bring a picnic on grounds.

    Bring your family for a picnic at the Garden on Mother’s day. Have you visited our display Greenhouse yet?  It is bursting with many tropical varieties of plants and is spectacular.   The greenhouse plants are planted to follow the color wheel palette and the color of the foliage or blooms will range from light to dark as you walk around inside the greenhouse.

  • GrowingGreat: Teaching Your Kids About Healthy Eating Habits

    $5 donation per Adult.  Children no charge.

    Led by:  GrowingGreat:  Inspiring Healthy Eating

    Parents and children will learn about nutrition and planning healthy meals, and the children will learn about proteins, fats, and carbohydrates.  Learn to identify how each 'fuel' is beneficial for your body and how to create your own protein, fat, and carbohydrate snack.  There will be a Children's Lesson and Adult Workshop.  Perfect for families!  There will be food samples to help identify healthy eating.  Limited to 15 adults and 20 children.  Must pre-register.
