  • RESCHEDULED - Geranium Propagation Workshop

    Location:

    Lecture is included with paid Garden admission

    Ideal for garden borders and beds, pelargonium are easy to propagate. Preferring full sun they flower from spring through summer. Learn about the various species of geranium and their close cousin pelargonium. Cuttings will be supplied as well as pot and soil and instructions for planting. Knowledgeable society members will be on hand to answer any questions you have about this popular house and garden plant.

     

    Please join the Geranium Society during their regular meeting on September 26, 2013 from 7:15 pm to 9:00 pm for the Geranium Propagation Workshop. This meeting will be held in Classroom A and is open to the public.

Participants can learn how to grow an edible garden and actually work in a garden plot. This year-round program features formal classes/lectures, work days, and much more. In addition to these more formal classes, there are ongoing “work” days that include hands-on instruction in topics such as plant selection, soil preparation, fertilizing, natural pest control, irrigation, general garden maintenance, and harvesting/deadheading.
