Students will learn the basics of planting plus the wisdom of planting with nature, as the Native Americans practiced. They will read stories from the Three Sisters Lore and understand the questions at the end of the reading. They will put together a seasonal planting wheel. Take home projects include the readings and wheel plus the planting projects: three biodegradable pots with their plantings of heirloom corn, beans, and squash. Parents will receive after-care sheets and a master planting chart for each season. Class is limited to 25 participants. This is not a drop off program and parental attendance is required.
