This unique Art installation of glass pumpkins is coming to the South Coast Botanic Garden. Over 1000 works of art by local and regional artists will be on display in our beautiful garden setting. Come and tour the garden and discover the magic of glass art for yourself. This is a child friendly event.

Instructors: Megan Pollard and Lee-Jean Lin with Art Experience Studios

Cost: $135 members / $150 nonmembers

$15 Materials Fee (payable to instructor)

A wonderful introductory class for budding artists. Students will learn to observe nature in the garden, experiment with various art media on difference surfaces, and combine drawing and painting skills to create art projects. Both two and three dimensional media will be explored to build skills and self-confidence. They will explore the variety of the art world. including, but not limited to watercolors, acrylics, pastels, color pencils, collage, and printmaking. Lessons include color mixing exercises and observational drawings and paintings. Just come with an open mind and curiosity. No experience required.

Learn to create paintings of nature that capture the softly colored art form that is expressed in the teachings and techniques of instructor Hisako Asano. You will learn to mix and blend colors and manipulate 3-D values with a single stroke. Materials list is available at the Guest Services Center.

This is an evening designed for you to eat, drink, paint and socialize with your friends.  It is your "creative happy hour” after a busy day.  No prior painting experience is required.  We will provide step-by-step instructions, helping you turn a blank 20"x 16"canvas into a final piece of personalized art in two hours.  Our DJ will play your favorite music and a selection of snacks and beverage will be provided to enhance your experience.  Come join us for a relaxing evening after work to enjoy the art and music.   We accept matured kids (10 Yr + recommended) when accompanied by a paid adult. 

Great for ladies night out, reunion, date night, birthday celebration, bridal shower, parent-children bonding, fundraising, corporate team building...

  • No experience needed!
  • We provide everything you will need: canvas, paint, brushes, easels, aprons, etc.
  • A selection of snacks and beverage to accompany the painting experience are available.
