Beth Crosse: Ocean-friendly Garden Chair of South Bay Chapter and Green Gardens Group (G3) Certified Trainer, Maintenance Director for Manhattan Beach Botanical Garden.

 Instructor Beth Crosse will teach students how to achieve an Ocean-friendly Garden through giving your garden CPR: Conservation, Permeability and Retention and bring it back to life! This program includes watershed basics, hands-on workshops, the 5-step process, 3 Instant Gratifications and countless resources.

Barbara Rush: Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine (NCNM – Portland, Oregon) N.D. Masters of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (OCOM – Portland, Oregon).

Dr. Barbara Rush will help you take charge of your health through this introduction to naturopathic medicine. Naturopathic medicine is the only truly comprehensive form of medicine available and combines allopathic and natural medicine to treat the root causes of health issues. Advanced registration encouraged but not required.

This class is limited to 15 students maximum on a first come, first serve basis. Registration is required 48 hours in advance of class start date.

Kit Wertz and Casey Schwartz: Custom Wedding/Event Florists and Floral Design Instructors, Kit and Casey are a sister team. They own and operate Flower Duet with over 20 years of professional experience.

Learn how to design flowers using lovely, springtime Ranunculus blooms in floral foam. Students will learn how to choose the best flowers for arranging, how to condition them so the arrangement lasts a long time and combine them with complementary green foliage. Flower Duet will show students how to properly use floral foam so the arrangement stays looking natural and organic. All supplies included. Students take home their designs.

Are you interested in birds? Join Stephanie Bryan and Martin Byhower of the Palos Verdes/South Bay Audubon Society as they tour the Garden in search of birds. Bird walks are a great way to learn to identify birds. No experience is required, but binoculars are recommended. The group meets in the Courtyard and then heads out into the Garden. Please arrive punctually should you wish to join the group. Binoculars recommended. Binoculars can be purchased at Wild Birds Unlimited in Torrance.
