Includes Silk Dying a long and a short high-quality silk scarves AND hand painting a coordinating Tote. Students will leave with three completed items.
Teri is an OSCI Multi-Certified Instructor, who has taught painting in acrylics, enamels, silk dying, as well as artistic machine quilting in several of the United States. This class is suitable for beginners with no art experience as well as intermediate students.
Teri will provide all the supplies for dying two high-quality silk scarves and painting with textile paints a color-coordinated microfiber or cotton canvas hand-washable reusable tote.
PROVIDED: FUN and materials such as non-toxic paints and dyes, tape, gloves to protect manicures, and graphite paper for tracing if needed. Dye set and silk conditioner for silk items also provided.
STUDENTS WILL BRING THEIR OWN:
1. Acrylic or fabric brushes, FOLK ART FOUR BRUSH BASIC SET
2. Folk Art water containers
3. Folk Art pallet
4. Painting clothes
5. Chalk pencil (such as General's from Michael's) or a white erasable pencil
6. Pen or metal stylus for tracing designs onto the tote
7. Clean rag or paper towels
NOTE: Teri will have double sided, lidded water containers, acrylic or fabric brushes, and pallets for sale at her cost.
