Bring your family for a visit to the Rare Fruit Orchard, which displays over 50 different varieties of fruiting trees, shrubs, and vines. This new display orchard focuses on fruits that are great for the local home landscape with a focus on fruits that aren’t readily available in your local supermarket. You can see Dragon Fruit vines, Banana Shrubs, and stone fruits trees suitable to our mild climate. Members of the Rare Fruit Growers will be available to answer your questions and provide information on growing fruit trees from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm.
The California Rare Fruit Growers meets the second Sunday of the month at South Coast Botanic Garden. The Meeting portion of this Open Orchard event will take place 10:00 am - 12:00 pm.
