If you love to garden but find that after working in your garden your back aches, your wrists are sore, and your knees are hurting, there are some things you can do to eliminate or greatly reduce the pain of gardening. In this class, we will talk about the tools and tips that you can use to not only make gardening easier, but relatively pain free as well. We’ll discuss the use of ergonomics; which is the study of how tools can be adapted to fit the needs of people with the goal of designing them to create less stress on the body. But, tools aren’t the only way to have a better gardening experience, we will also discuss changing our habits and how we garden including how to avoid injuries, conditioning and strengthening, and designing an easy-to-reach garden.

Registration for this class is required 24 hours in advance of class start date. Please contact Guest Services to reserve the class.
