21st Annual Bard in the Garden

Garden Opens 6:00pm for picnicking, Performance Begins 8:00pm

Mother's Day Concert

What a nice treat for mom!  Bring mom to visit the garden and stay to hear the band.  Picnic benches are located outside the garden gates.  Make a day of it.

The band has a new conductor:  Grant Sevdayan !

Maestro Sevdayan has been the music director and conductor of operas and musicals in California as well as Italy, Austria, and France.  Locally, Grant has recently conducted concerts with Casa Italiana, Intimate Opera Company, Inglewood Pops and the Peninsula Symphony.

Back by popular demand at the South Coast Botanic Garden.  Two performances this summer to look forward to.  Bubble Rock Productions always brings you fun, and entertaining  acts that the whole family can enjoy.  This is the sixth year of the concert series at the Garden!

Composting Workshops offered by Department of Public Works Smart Gardening Program


No reservations are necessary, unless otherwise noted.  Bins are available for purchase at a subsidized price:

Backyard bins:  $40
Worm Bin:  $65 (includes 1/2 lb of worms)
Additional 1/2 lb worms:  $10
CASH ONLY

No charge for the workshop.  Admission to the garden is free for Foundation members.  Daily gate fee applies to all others.  Workshops will start promptly at 9:30am.

Advanced Workshops:
The advanced workshop is an introduction to landscape design, landscaping with California friendly plants, basics of designing and installing a water-efficient irrigation system, and soils and fertilizers.
